Witness a Thought-Provoking New Exhibit at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center
Don’t miss the insightful and fascinating new exhibit opening this weekend at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center! Entitled The Other Side of the Alamo, this creative showcase features a select group of Chicano/a artists that explore the diverse perspectives of the Alamo’s history.
Curated by art historian, curator, and cultural worker Ruben C. Cordova, Ph.D., this new exhibition is a thought-provoking collection of work that engages the mainstream viewpoints and myths of the Alamo’s iconic status. The show organizes dozens of artists who utilize a variety of mediums, creating a dialogue through their traditional and non-traditional paintings, sculptures, and installation pieces. It’s an enriching exhibit that explores a wide range of narratives and invites the viewer to think critically, making this a unique art show that you won’t want to miss. Be sure to see this collection opening this weekend at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center!
